NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., (June, 22, 2007) - Freestyle team rider and professional surfer Cory Lopez will appear on FUEL TV’s “The Daily Habit” on Monday, June 25 at 9:00 pm EDT (6:00 pm PDT). Lopez will join host Pat Parnell in the studio to talk about current projects, upcoming contests, his feelings about this year’s Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Championship Tour (WCT) and current 18th place ranking.

A Florida native and recent California transplant, Lopez will spend the majority of this summer traveling and competing on the WCT, hoping to top his third place finish in 2001.  After shooting for “The Daily Habit,” Lopez flew to Arica, Chile for the Rip Curl Pro Search Chile. Following the event he will travel to South Africa for the Billabong Pro at Jeffrey’s Bay and will continue his quest at the U.S. Open at Huntington Beach, Calif. in July.  When not competing on tour, Lopez can be found filming footage for the sequel to Lost’s 5’5” x 19 1⁄4” with fellow professional surfer Chris Ward.  Be sure to tune in on Monday, June 25th at 9:00 pm EDT (6:00 pm PDT) to watch Cory Lopez and special guest, Carlos Alazraqui, who plays Officer James Garcia on Comedy Central’s “Reno 911.” Also, be on the lookout for Cory Lopez’s updated Freestyle “Lopex World Class” watch in stores now.

The show will re-air later that evening at 12:00 am EDT (9:00 pm PDT) and again on Tuesday, June 26 at 3:00 pm EDT (12:00 pm PDT) and 6:00 pm EDT (3:00 pm PDT).  (Viewers should check local listings as airtimes can vary by location.)

“The Daily Habit” is FUEL TV’s first original daily series.  The half-hour show encompasses the world of the action sports enthusiast, mixing the best in pop culture with today’s top action sports personalities, cutting-edge music, product reviews and comedy.  To see if you get FUEL TV, visit www.fuel.tv.

"There are many differences (between Japan and America). The first time I came here I was very surprised about the foods. There are very big portions here...like twice as much! When we go to the hamburger shop, such a BIG hamburger and so many fried potatoes. I can't finish it all! Never! Everything is big here I think. The people are different, very friendly here. Ah yeah, I like it."
